Other moisture pests such as mosquito's and centipedes may be found in areas of high uncontrolled moisture.
The warm, humid environment inside our home is the perfect place for silverfish (moisture pests) to set up camp with his mates. They prefer dark damp areas and you’ll often find them in bathrooms, basements, kitchens, attics or garages where boxes are stored. They love starch, so boxes are another bit of food for them. Silverfish can vary in color from white to grayish brown to silver. They are typically teardrop shaped and range in size from about a ½” up to almost 1”.
If you see even one silverfish in your home, it’s time to give us a call. You may have a silverfish infestation. Female silverfish can lay up to 20 eggs per day, leading to quite an infestation if not controlled.
Silverfish insect infestations can be found in damp basements or other areas where moisture is not controlled. If you have an infestation please contact us for a free consultation. Silverfish are easy to get rid of if you properly interrupt their life cycle.
