You may find this beautiful and large spider building webs amongst your shrubs and perennials in your garden. These spiders are important to IPM and natural pest control in agricultural crops. They aggressively feed on a number of pest moths and larvae that can cause damage to your plants. That means if you find them in your garden they are probably hard at work taking care of a pest issue for you.
Now, these spiders can bite humans so it’s best to leave them alone if you find them outside. However, while their bite can be painful they are not venomous to people.
